We begin harvesting our chestnuts in late September or early October and finish in mid to late November. After de-burring, sorting and cleaning our chestnuts are ready to sell or make into various canned chestnuts, candied chestnuts, butters, purees or desserts. We sell two varieties -- medium and large, and will ship within the 48 contiguous states (if you pay more that our shipping/handling costs, we will refund the overage). Medium chestnuts are best for stuffings, mixed with veggies or in soups while the Large chestnuts are best for intact desserts. To ensure nut production, 2 trees are needed.
