Because the birds, squirrels & wind carry the "nuts" about, we often have seedlings sprouting spontaneously. We dig and pot these and make them available for sale (we don't have many places to plant more). Our seedlings are C. dentata (American Chestnut) salvaged from pioneer orchards in Coos County, Oregon. We are now growing the seedlings ourselves. We currently have (after losing our 2023 seedbed due to flooding in the winter of 2023-2024, 50 to 75 one year old seedlings available for Spring 2025 planting, same price per seedling (because they are growing larger we will need to increase shipping costs soon). Seedlings will be shipped until we run out. Not all seedlings will produce premium (large) nuts, just like not all apple seeds breed true for size & variety. We are currently grafting scions from our premium producing trees, but none are available for sale yet. We are happy to answer your questions via PM or email.
